You guys loved my 60’s eye, and it’s actually super easy so here’s a tutorial! Full product list on the bottom of this post.
Prime the eyelid and set with powder to make sure we have a smooth surface to work with. Use a light eyeshadow and add all over the lid, pressing it on with your fingers. You could use any color really, but for a true 60’s eye i’d recommend a light blue, white or minty green.
Take a darker shadow and nest it into your crease. If it comes down slightly onto your lid that’s okay, no need to keep this look 100% perfect. Focus on the other corners, we want to enlarge and elongate the eye. Don’t forget the lower lash line.
Take a black matte eyeshadow and a small tilted brush and frame the eye. If you have a steady hand then you can use an eyeliner, but i find this to be the easiest way when shaping the eye. And the result is slighly softer and more forgiving to mistakes. Also feel free to deepen the shade in your eye socket, it might need to be balanced out.
Take a darker liner and add some drama! I used a gel liner and then packed matte eyeshadow on top. Make sure to go heavy on the lower lashes, it will be balanced out once the mascara is on. Every eye shape is unique so do an eyeliner shape you feel comfortable in. I have almond shaped eyes and prefer a thinner feline flick.
Add tons of mascara and YOU ARE DONE! Pair this look with a peachy blush, strong brows and nude lips for a true 60’s feel.
Here you get a better idea of how the crease looks. It’s not perfect but it doesn’t matter honestly. This is for every day use and for beginners.
